Ok, here’s the deal - you can sit in your Lazyboy and let the nightly news bring you down, or you can get out in the real world and hit the road with thousands of like-minded gear heads. Gas is cheap, perhaps the cheapest it will be for quite some time, so rip that cover off your old Mopar and get ‘er tuned up for the ultimate pentastar road trip - The Mopowered Tour.

Building and driving Fast Mopars is what it's all about. So, 5-Years ago, Mopar Collector’s Guide Magazine and Totally Auto Inc. got together and started what we dubbed the “MoPowered Tour,” an "unofficial" FREE tour within the "official" Power Tour, for our Mopar brethren. A way for many of us to travel the country together and enjoy the Mopar Brotherhood, all the while supporting the "official tour". Our involvement there and through the magazine has given us a good idea of what a good street car is and what's simply bogus. We have listened to plenty of bench racing over just that point. It often boils down to simply taste or what each of us is willing to tolerate in a driver. In our eyes, MoPower Tour provides the ultimate test of a true street car and a test of the one aspect that really matters; Can your car stay together and keep you comfortable for a 3000-mile cruise cross-country?

Over the years, the Mopowered Tour has taken on a life of its own. You’ve read the stories from the road, seen the fun in pictures, read about it in the magazine and watched it on the web, now it’s time to experience The Mopowered Tour for yourself. Rob Wolf will be photographing the whole thing for upcoming articles in Mopar Collectors Guide, so join us and you may see your car there too!

We have no rules, (other then 'ya gotta' have a Mopar). We have no set times to be anywhere. If you want to roll with us you’re more than welcome. If you’d rather run with the pack on the roads specified by the "Official" Power Tour themselves, feel free to do so. We all wind up at the same place eventually. We’re out to enjoy ourselves without any structure for the most part. We may leave at 8 in the morning, we may leave at 9. It all depends on the night before. This is just our way of making America's Greatest Road Trip a little more special for all of our Mopar friends.

It all starts right where we left off last year, Madison Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy-Center. This time on June 6, 2009. From there, a road-trip through the great Midwest, stopping off in Racine, South Bend, Warren, Dayton and Somerset Kentucky. The party caps off with drag racing and awards on June 12-13th in Bristol Tennessee. Check back often for all the up-to-the-minute
