BRINGS YOU THE MOPAR ONLY

Welcome to MoPowerTour Day Four
Warren, Mi.

Much to our surprise the morning meeting place, Honkers, was in fact, still standing.

We guess it was a little too early for Robs sense of humor as this nice lady pounded the poo outta him for his comment about staying in the kitchen.

As promised, we made our way to
MOPARS WITH THE AMISH!
The NEW and exciting Mopar Collectors Guide sponsored mega-event. Yes, folks, you heard it here first!
MOPARS WITH THE AMISH!

It was actually a really nice little town which I can neither pronounce nor spell, but quite quaint. Notice Rob enjoying the balcony view. A BIG thanks to Roger and Jackie for leading the way to this off-the-beatin-path attraction.

Chock full of great little stores and eateries.

And nice folk who offered me a job as a buggy driver.......

......but the boss was an ass. So we high-tailed it outa there but.....

.........not before leaving our mark!

That's right folks, remember, no other magazine brings you anything like this.....
The Mopar Collectors Guide, MOPARS WITH THE AMISH MEGA-EVENT! We'll bring the chicken soup!

Back on the road, we made our way north, then east, then west, then north again, then south........ trying to find our way to Detroit. We gotta give these guys and their little Barracuda credit. They stuck with us at just a little more then the legal speed limit. Hey, Jay and JJ! Good job!

Can't say I ever saw a sign like this before.......

.....but we all wanted to take this one home!

Uh, is that where all the steering boxes come from? I mean this IS Detroit! Hi Hon

we wanted to show you 110 but again........ this IS Detroit.

While crawling through traffic we did take the time to notice that, even with all the shenanigans the Challenger is still netting a respectable 21.6 average MPG!

Folks lined the streets as the rolling parade .... well.... rolls by. Uh, hey folks, "Did you see Peter"?

Once at the Metro Beach Metro Park (a very Metro place), we were treated to this.... and I fell in love. No, he did not want to trade, nor did Charlie want to ride in the back!

Useless Warren Mi., info you may like to know;
*Warren is ranked 1st in the nation for longevity of residence. Residents on average have lived in Warren for 35.5 years. The national average is 8
*Warren was home to Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant which built a quarter of the Sherman tanks produced in WWII.
Even more useless info; Jim Sherman of Sherman and associates, maker of mopar sheetmetal, has a Sherman tank parked on his front lawn.

Metro was actually one of the better stops so far and was packed. Cars were as far as you can see, almost to Canada.

And then there was this........ as small as the previous pic? lol

TOURERS PLEASE NOTE;
TONIGHT;
The City of Warren has planned a cruise night. WE'LL BE THERE.

TOMORROW; Our meeting place, should it be there;
Weds Morning June 10. 9:00 am departure from:
Stella's Restaurant
1467 W. 14 Mile Rd.
Madison Heights, MI. 48071

ALSO TOMORROW; An early morning stop at enthusiast, Steve Legal's place to see his 1970 AND New Challenger memorabilia collection, just a slight detour off the Tour route.

The cruise got a little squirrelly this afternoon so..... I'm off for a well deserved Detroit Cara Pizza. Until tomorrow........CYA!
