BRINGS YOU THE MOPAR ONLY

6/7/09

Welcome to MoPowerTour Day two Racine, Wi.

Driving Fast Mopars is what it's all about. We have no rules, (other then 'ya gotta' have a Mopar). If you want to roll with us you’re more than welcome. This is just our way of making America's Greatest Road Trip a little more special for all of our Mopar friends.

This morning we got a way too early start, but we'll be fixing that. When we finally got out of the hotel we were greeted to a slew of pre-registered MoPowerTour Participants. It was a cold rainy am., but spirits were high, bellies and tanks were full and we were ready to ROCK!

A friend of my daughters has been MIA since the start. This 18 year old guy seems to be having quite the trip of his own in a 70 'Cuda. Apparently he's been trying to track us down since Pa.
Hey, Peter, we had a bed saved for ya last nite! lol

Meet the 09 Motourers, or at least the ones with us so far! Can't tell you a single one's name but a better bunch of kind hearted and good spirited folks would be hard to find.

Yup, just another day on the Shower Tour!

We made our way over to the Alliant Energy Center for the first and, for us, the only official traffic jam, I mean drivers meeting.

Our group stayed together and although we got nothing out of it, we listened to the Hot Rod speeches, rules, regulations and instructions. Do this - don't do that - can't you read the signs?

Bad economy? Hot Rod seems to be doing well.....

....and so does Power Tour attendance.

I fell in love with this 'Cuda, my daughter quickly nicknamed "Cudalliac".

Charlie kept smelling cheese and I figured well.... we are in Wisconsin. turned out we were wrong.

And with that, the Tour begins. Begins with a huge traffic jam but began none-the-less.

While the official tour headed to a double breakfast, the MoPowerTour was out for a bit more fun than that.

First, we had a stop at Quaden Dodge that was holding its 27th and last, Mopar Only Car Show put on by the Wisconsin Mopar Muscle Club. A very nice, well put together dealer who like so many others, is being shut down.

Which turned out to have quite a large well.... turnout.

From there we headed out to the infamous Great Lakes Dragway with high hopes of running the new Hemi. Unfortunately that never happened but we did see some racing at this historic facility.

While there we converted big-time Mopar guy Rob Wolf into a biker......

....but.... in reality, it was just a fantasy.

Like the girls, (mannequins) these guys had along for the ride.
