BRINGS YOU THE MOPAR ONLY

Welcome to MoPowerTour Day Five
Dayton Ohio

Last night in Michigan we found out what would be illegal in Philly is perfectly fine in Detroit. And too the guy who wanted to valet park my ride, lotsa luck, even if you are a "Professional".

STELLAaaaaaaaa, where are you Stellaaaaaaaa. Once again our morning meeting place, Stellas Family Restaurant was not what, or where it was supposed to be. Apparently the internet can't be trusted, nor is it updated very often.

But our second stop actually worked out. Well...kinda after we figured out our east from west. Steve Legal opened up his place and showed off some cool memorabilia.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the stop. There was some really interesting stuff there that reminded me of my basement.

Even more reminiscent of home was the fact that, like me, Steve has a Go-Mango 70 R/T se AND an orange NEW Challenger!

Rolling outa there we headed South towards Dayton.....

........with MoPoweredTour alumni stuck to our rear bumper.

And occasionally even passing us........

And after only about 246 miles, we arrived in Dayton to a friendly traffic jam.

But..... we did get this cool shot out of it!

As the traffic continued, the outside temp rose and the rain came, all while we went about 100-feet.

And it wasn't even the Tour that held things up this time. Seems Hot Rod went out of their way this year to pick challenging routes that included lots of construction. It actually made me glad my 70 was tucked away at home.

We did stop at this scheduled (really we just wanted out of the traffic) lunch stop where we were treated to great food and service of local cuisine. This may also make a cars-in-barns-n-burgers issue of MCG!

Once in Dayton, the streets were lined with spectators!

Useless Dayton OH.., info you may like to know;
*Famous inventors such as the Wright Brothers came from Dayton
*Way useless; Dayton is home to the Mexican restaurant chain Hot Head Burritos ranked by AOL as one of America's next big chains.

And the show was packed with people and quality Mopars we have not seen before on the tour.

Like this original mullet mobile! Business up front and party in the back!

This little rod was cool but, considering the trunk space, we questioned the logic in using it as a tourer.

This?............just phat!

These guys were still having a blast, crisscrossing the country allowing folks to graffiti their car. It was painted in chalkboard paint!

Peter?

Get it?

Before we split, we did finally find longtime MoPowerTourer Herb McCandless, or at least his fine ride. Look for a full feature on this one in an upcoming issue of MCG!

But, before leaving, we just hadda, once again, leave our mark.

Just for good measure, we did a drive by on tomorrows meeting place. YES, it's still there.

Thurs Morning June 11. 9:15 am departure from:
Waffle House
3998 Colonel Glenn Hwy,
Fairborn, OHŸ

BUT BE CAREFUL! DO NOT ENTER RESTRICTED GATE B at the air-force base. Untold things may happen to you. We, at first thought we were pulling up to a seat-belt check and well.....Trust us we tried and now we gotta go..... well...uh... were not at liberty to say.

We hope you have enjoyed the MoPowerTour coverage thus far. We just got word from the guys at the Totally Auto shop and the 70 Challenger we blew up is all better and up-and-running! Thanks GUYS!

TTFN!
