Ok, last night we got a little stupid in the town square. Yes, we circled the square in Newts’ Hemi Challenger and Bills 6-bbl Bird but com'on, they are both drop-tops and hey, it WAS a nice night.....seemed like the right thing to do at the time, so we climbed the fountain but the nice police man didn't seem to mind, much!

We did stay at a really cool restified hotel on the original Route 66, much better then the county lockup.

Maybe the lot was so crowded because they advertised fuel at 42 cents a gallon, lol.

Just another year on the SHOWER Tour..

We made do and just picked up the pace......... a little. Note we caught the wipers doing their job in the downpour.

Scarier, much scarier then traveling at 110 in the rain, is the sight of a sky like this, in Kansas, during tornado season.

But the crew just hung right in behind us!

So we picked up the pace, just a little........

...and headed for the capitol.

Surprisingly the sun came out and we stopped at this place for a little local cuisine before working our way to the venue.

Ok, this photo was taken while it was still raining but..... CHECK OUT THAT CAVERNOUS INTERIOR!!!!!

Once at Heartland Park speedway we bumped into our good buddy and world class blues guitarist, Kenny Wayne Sheperd who invited us to his concert Saturday night in Aurora Illinois! If any of you are headed east Sat. night by way of Aurora, stop in and see his show! And we also bumped into this celebrity. Remember National Lapoon's "Vacation?

Which looked no worse then the mess of Mike and Tim who took the honors away from Dave and Charlie this year.

And now, finally at the hotel things are getting pretty silly so.......
