Last night a few of us were up enough to hit downtown. Beule street. The action was amazing and it seemed like quite the party town! Cara found it funny when a strange fella came out of the blue to ask Newt if he was mad. Newts answer was simple but firm, "I can be"! Cara has yet to stop laughing at that one! Since we had a bit of a late night anyway, Newt did us all a favor by flattening the tires on the GM lead vehicle! lol. Glad he's an early riser!

Once out and about we did our now traditional gas fill-up and this time, since the sun was again shining, we all gave 'em a bath.

For the first time since the Tour began, we split up. Skids headed off into the morning sun with Taylor and Kelsey in tow. Their destination?
G R A C E L A N D!

The rest of us decided we'd actually try following the "official tour", today being our last day and all.......

........... and we quickly remembered why we don't follow the "Official Tour".
Simply put,; that many cars makes for that many traffic jams. Interestingly, GM has this truck full of tools and a crew to help out all the broken Chebbies! We just have Newt and his trunk full of stuff, hmmmmmm?

So we just put the pedal to the metal and by mid morning it was, "WELCOME TO ARKANSAS!

Before long, well.....you get the picture.

Now that Charlie's car is no longer smoking, we did notice he himself still smokes just as much. Cool thing though; even with the late night thrash, the Road Runner is purring like a kitten. Since we closed the hood at the dealership, we've never even needed to take another look!

More annoying than even Charlie's smoke bomb was to those who followed him is all the trailered cars! Come-on guys. This is the POWER TOUR, not the Trailer Tour! We saw so many cars trailered to within miles of the venue, only to be unloaded and driven a bit to the end. What fun is that? If you or the shop building your car is not confident enough in their own work to hit the road with just a trunk full of tools; stay on the porch. Trailers have their place for broken cars, show cars, and historically restored or low mileage museum pieces, but that's not what this trip is about. Sorry for going off, just a pet-peeve, I'll stop now.

John and i found a wallet stuffed full of cash and credit cards, while getting gas the other day! although there was no phone number in there we did find some Tour info. Here that happy guy is reunited with his loot! Way to go John!
