Welcome to Mopowered Tour 6/7. The saga continues....

The crew, determined to go the distance leaving no man behind, worked at a frantic pace well into the wee hours of the morning. Newt and Timmy (the youngest in the bunch) worked harder then any work day and Mike, who hates working on cars by the way, took charge!

Dave, now sporting a new overheated windburn, went to work machining the bottom of the intake. Lacking a machine shop, he simply used a cut off wheel A funny side note, pertaining to Dave's color; Cara was overheard stating, "If those guys don't have air conditioning.... we aint using ours". Regardless, the gang was determined to get the job done.

ALL HANDS ON DECK! As onlookers gazed in awe, the old came out and the transfer of all the accessories began. Those in attendance started putting together a pot, guessing just when.... or if... the thing would fire up!

But first, the beast had to be placed in it's new home. Hey, just how many guys can work on a car a once. I counted 12, but only 5 that really knew how to use their tools!

Two we REALLY need to thank is Doug Duell of Evansville Chrysler and Ken Lazzari of Indy Cylinder head, both for their support. I also want to thank all the girls for being so patient with us guys as we dug in our heels to finish the job.

by 1:55AM, with Tim turning the key for the first time, and with Mike's head looking like it wanted to pop off, the Road Runner roared to life! Honestly, the whole thing felt like an episode of Monster Garage except at the end, we got no tools! The cars shake-down run was to the hotel and a cold shower and hot bed, or something like that.

When Charlie awoke, this sign and a Indy motor was all that greeted him as the rest of us slept in, before hitting the road again.

Me? I was greeted by the cops! Actually 2 Power Tour friends Aaron and John who joined in for the remainder of the trip!

Welcome to Memphis Tenn! So far traveling over 2000 miles, we can all say; this is one trip to remember! Now? It's 8:57, we;ve missed bowling with Kenny Wayne Shepherd to get this on the web. Were outa here and headin' to Beale Street. CYA 2morro!
