We took off this morning out of Kalamazoo with our bellies full and our tanks empty. Well Newt's was anyway. Once on the road, we were having a blast! A few Tour participants rolled along and the race was on! Here, we were doing about 110MPH as the radar detector flashed K-band. Cara remarked as we hung to the front, "If you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch"! Hey kid, you should have said, "Let off the gas dad." Either way, this was the best part of the trip so far. The smiles went for miles and the speed was up as were the spirits, and, OMG! The Sun!

The Father/son team of Mike and Tim Ryan have really shined the true sprit of Power Tour, fixing rods of all kinds along the way. They have become so popular for their kind deeds that the town of Cudaha, (REAL NAME), named this street after them. Honestly though, those two and the entire group for that matter, has been a pleasure to travel with at least so far.You couldn't pick a better clique! Yes, we know the pic is fuzzy and out of focus but you try having a heart-to-heart with your kid, while texting your wife, while driving at 90 miles an hour, spotting cops and taking a photo at the spur of the moment. At least I got the shot!

Suddenly my eyes were tearing, my throat was swollen and I thought I was about to die as Kelsey set off some Mace in the back seat of my Magnum! Cara was coughing and the only thing breathing well was our GS Motor-Sports supercharger! Actually it wasn't Mace but just as bad; Some concoction Kelsey had made and called perfume! Minutes later, after she bathed in the stuff, she was in the back seat of Charlie's Road Runner; thank you very much! Really though, even after many folks, (mom's) had some concerns about a bunch of dads taking their girls on the tour, THE KIDS HAVE BEEN GREAT! Many of us work together in some form or another but watching the bonding between Tim and his dad, or the common respect of Rob and Kelsey, the love shared between Skids and Taylor or the twins, me and Cara, is enough to bring a tear to even a hard mans eye.

And then there's this! All of us out having a ball in the cars we love nearly as much as those kids!

Then again there's this.... but we've said enough about the SHOWER TOUR! Right? Well, maybe not. Today on the big stage we heard Hot Rod Magazine's Publisher refer to the Tour as just that, "The Shower Tour", ! Hey Jerry! Nice to know your following along.

Welcome to Chicago where Cara asked me if we'd meet Leroy Brown on the South side.

We Mopar guys may have no respect for the Cheby guys but the topless Cobra guys who soldiered on through the rain get major props from all of us

Now sporting Hot Rod swag, the father/daughter and father/son teams are all paired up. Since Taylor was sleeping, Skids rustled up Newt for the photo op.

The next generation Big time magazine editor in training!

OK, this trip we coined the term "Shower Tour". Anybody who can come up with something better then American Idle Tour wins a Free T-shirt, so; it's your turn to think folks! Thanks Timmy and Newt, my brain was hurting on that one, or maybe I still got a whiff of that Mace?

We finished the day well fed and on the top of the world. The rain stopped and we had dinner on the rocks of Lake Michigan, catered prime rib no less!,Thanks to our friends at Perfection AutoSport. Remember, if you haven't picked up your MoPowered Tour goodie bag yet, you can find them at Perfection who is set-up at EVERY Venue
