BRINGS YOU THE MOPAR ONLY

Welcome to MoPowered Tour 2007 • 6.2.07

Here we are. another Tour ready to rock. We started off at my place, with 4 cars, 3 of which were full of gas, so.......

....... first stop was a gas stop....... the first of what seems to be one of many!

But we did finally hit the road and man; WE MADE TRACKS! At an average speed of 85-mph we burned through the WIDE state of Pennsylvania like it was a small island. At about 1AM "Skids" said, "So how long have we been driving for, like 3-hours?". At that point we had been driving for 6- but there we were, pretty close to the Ohio border.

Then, guess what, another gas stop! Interestingly enough 3 of the 4 cars were getting nearly exactly the same milage, burning within a gallon of the precious commodity of each other. Except that is, my now SuperCharged, Magnum, which is amazingly getting 17-18 miles per gallon at 85-90 mph! with its huge tank, I was at about a half tank when my cell started ringing for a gas stop. Good stuff and we all needed a break anyway!

By 2AM we found a nice hotel and hit the sack for the night. Early in the AM we were at a gas station but this time, it was for a wash. The torrential rains the night before had trashed our freshly detailed rides and we just couldn't be seen that way. Here Timmy cleans up his Dads ride as my daughter took a rest as I did mine go figure!

All cleaned up, we headed off to LONGTIME FRIEND and 3-time Tour pal Bill Uhl's house. WOW!!!!! What a house! I counted 7-bathrooms and there was probably more but I got lost and had to find my way back out! Jenny put out a great spread so we all got our bellies full before heading out to guess what, another torrential downpour! Such seems to be Power Tour! It rains, we wash the cars, it rains and so on.

We did hit some sun though, lots of it. 97 degrees on the way to Cleveland and what a BLAST! I saw 125 on the speedo and Charlie drove like his car was attached to my rear bumper. Bill got in the sprit as we raced his 440-6 convertible against my heavy weight Magnum. Uh, I was surprised at the fact that it seemed his Beeper was in reverse as the Magnum rolled away. I mean, that thing is a pretty fast car and well, we walked away from him! Timmy reminded me that I'm carrying about a hundred more horsepower but I just didn't expect that much of a spread! Thanks Bill!

Once at the IX Center we got checked in a met some new and some old, (very Old) friends!

What do these two vehicles have in common? 440 motivation and BOTH ARE MoPower Tour long haulers, going the distance! The sign was cool but to be honest, Cleveland don't!

OK, I'm really tired here and a bit punchy. I was gonna come up with something coy to say like; GM messed up crushing this one but... forget it, you get the point.
At this time of night we just got back from the West side Flats, whatever that is, we ate and had a good time THANKS TO BILL UHL, but now, they are shutting down the city. Somebody here, maybe basketball, won something and the town is going crazy! We just thought they were proud to see the Tour come through! lol 6AM is sounding pretty early so, check back tomorrow for more.
