Power Tour Photos of the Day 6-8-05

Since technically it was the next day, this installment begins with last nights activities.  Bill had so much fun he had to check himself into reality and headed back home before we awoke. Have a safe trip Bill, we'll miss you on the road.

With Bill gone, our concerns were laid to rest that everyone's stuff would fit the e-body. It did with minor persuasion...  Charlie, Where are ya gonna sit?

Dead stopped sitting in traffic or sustained 100 mph blasts,  the Challengers Classic Auto Air system worked great.  Check out the temperature gauge in both pictures.

Talk about your trailer queens, these guys brought their whole garage on the Power Tour route and snarled traffic for miles...  Seriously though, what idiot approved that permit.

We've been very happy with the Challengers mileage of approximately 10 city and 13 hwy mpg.

Along the way, we ran into Gary who has been talking smack on Moparts.com about showing Dave and Rob his tail lights. We snapped this shot as we passed him on the highway.

Seems he thought we'd be looking at his tail lights.  Looks like it's the other way around...

Thanks to the Eaton Detroit springs, Rob never even noticed the 110+ mph blast in the rain.

As the skies cleared we worked our way into Alabama...

However, we were slightly disturbed by this welcome sign...

Lunch at the Country Club...

There's those Chrysler boys again...  Gary, that's two sets of tail lights.

You meet the coolest people on the Road.  We met up with racing legend Herb McCandless while refueling.  Note Charlie's condition...  The food at the Country Club and the limited rear seat area, thanks to Robs baggage, may be taking its toll.

Note to Show Participants. All the more reason to stay with your car; Here, Mopar Collector's Guide Magnate, Rob Wolf, shoots snapshots in lieu of a full photo feature, as there was no owner to be found.

This leg of the tour brought Frank closer to his Alabama home. His wife Tina, and son Aaron (age 6) made a special trip to come see him.  We were happy for Frank but now miss our families even more.

Smoke'm if ya got'em...  Outta here till tomorrow...

Aptly named, ‘The Worlds Greatest Road Trip,” we at totallyautoinc.com are going, “LIVE.”
